Postdoc position - Structural Biology - Charite - Berlin

05-22-16 Θέσεις Εργασίας

Dear Colleagues,

A postdoctoral position is available from July 2016 until April 30, 2019 in my newly established lab at the Institute for Medical Physics and Biophysics, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

The successful applicant will examine on a molecular level how Cullin4-RING ubiquitin ligases achieve specificity for endogenous ubiquitylation substrates and how substrate specificity is modulated by retroviral accessory proteins (see Schwefel et al. (2014), Nature 505, 234-238; Schwefel et al. (2015), Cell Host & Microbe 17, 489-499; Review: Lee & Zhou (2007), Mol Cell 26, 775-780).

The position is funded by the DFG Emmy Noether-programme and will be initially available for 3 years, with the possibility of extension for another 2 years. The institute provides an excellent environment for structural biology, including X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM, and there will be close collaboration with the labs of Prof. Christian Spahn and Dr. Patrick Scheerer.
Please check the attached advertisement for more details.

Your help forwarding the enclosed advertisements within your institutes and/or to potential candidates is very much appreciated.

Thank you & best regards,
