Late Call for Applications for the Master’s Program in Immunobiology

The Department of Biology of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Crete is pleased to announce the launch of the Master of Science (MSc) Programme in “Immunobiology”.

The program will start in the winter semester of the academic year 2026-2027 and
will lead to the award of an MSc degree in Immunobiology upon successful
completion of four (4) academic semesters.
Eligibility
Candidates eligible for admission must hold a first-cycle degree from a Higher
Education Institution (HEI) in Greece or a recognized foreign institution in one of the
following or related fields:
– Biology
– Medicine
– Veterinary Medicine
– Molecular Biology
– Biochemistry and Biological Applications
– Chemistry
– Pharmacy
– Chemical Engineering
Language of Instruction: English
Tuition Fees: €1000 per semester – Total €4000 (To accept the position, the tuition
fees for the first semester must be paid)

Selection criteria:
Admission is based on: (a) Academic and professional qualifications (as
documented):
1. Bachelor’s degree certificate, transcript, and ECTS credits
2. Academic performance in undergraduate courses relevant to immunobiology
3. Performance in undergraduate thesis (if applicable)
4. Research or professional experience in related areas
5. Scientific publications
6. Two letters of recommendation
(b) Performance in individual interviews
Candidates will be interviewed by two independent faculty members of the
programme (not members of the Evaluation Committee).
(c) Final interview

Candidates will also be evaluated in a second oral interview conducted by the
Evaluation Committee.

Required Documents
To be submitted via the application platform:
1. Completed application form
2. Detailed CV and motivation letter
3. (If applicable) Copies of scientific publications, certificates of participation in
research projects, additional qualifications, awards, or scholarships
4. At least two letters of recommendation (names and email addresses of referees
must be included)
5. One passport-sized photograph
Additional mandatory documents:
6. Bachelor’s degree certificate (or a pending degree confirmation)
7. Official academic transcript (including GPA and ECTS credits)
8. Proof of English proficiency (minimum B2 level)
9. Copy of ID or passport

Enrollment Requirements
Admitted students must present their degree certificate or official proof of graduation
upon enrollment in September 2026.
For graduates of non-Greek institutions, all degrees and transcripts must:
– Be authenticated with an APOSTILLE stamp
– Be officially translated into Greek or English by the appropriate authority
(e.g., embassy/consulate)
Document Format Guidelines
– All documents must be uploaded in PDF format, clearly labeled (e.g., “Degree
Certificate”, “Transcript”)
– Maximum file size: 2MB per document, total upload limit: 20MB
– Photographs:
o Formats: PNG, JPEG
o Size: 200×200 pixels, max 2MB
