The Kostourou Lab at BSRC “Alexander Fleming” (Vari, Athens) invites expressions of interest for a Research Assistant position. Our lab operates at the cutting-edge interface of vascular biology and oncology, studying how cell-matrix adhesions integrate biochemical and mechanical signals to regulate blood vessels formation and function in both physiological settings and cancer. The successful candidate will join our new project exploring Novel roles of cell-matrix adhesions in endothelial and cancer metabolism.
The position offers a supportive environment and broad hands-on training in endothelial and cancer biology, mechanobiology, metabolism, in vivo cancer models, and advanced imaging- serving as a stepping stone for future doctoral studies or the advancement of an independent academic career.
Candidate requirements:
- A BSc, MSc or recently acquired PhD in Biology, Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline.
- Solid, hands-on experience in cell culture, basic molecular techniques, (e.g PCR, Western blot)
